  • How To Succeed (Part 1)

    learn and adopt the essential qualities of successful people. Before I started my journey to personal fulfillment I could remember looking at everyone around me and thinking "How do I get there"? I was tired, unmotivated, uninterested, and mostly I was scared. Now I can tell you that if you want to start that business, learn to be a chef, or it could even be as simple as adopting a productive daily routine, there are a few tips that all successful people know. #1 - Start Trying to Succeed. Let me start by saying the only way to achieve something is by trying. It's not going to magically happen one day. I wish it worked this way but it just does not. The good news is that just looking up how to do this is a significant first step! This is the point at which you decide that you want to change something in your life and are ready to give it an honest shot. Recognizing that you can do better and giving it a try is something you should be proud of. #2 - Fail as Much as You Can What follows next is the actual work. FAILING. The fear of failure is the number one reason that someone either quits or doesn't try. It may seem counterintuitive but failing is the process of success. Embrace it with excitement. How else are you going to succeed if you don't let yourself try and fail? This means we can keep trying different ways to go about it. This is the point where most people will quit but what those people don't know is that they can succeed. After all why not them? Why not you? If you never fail you can never succeed. Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly - Robert F Kennedy #3 - Dedication. Success in any form requires dedication. It's needed to follow through when things get hard. You must dedicate time, effort, and heart. Think of a purpose for your goal, and make sure it is strong because this will fortify your dedication. There will be times when there will be obstacles and hurdles but it is a waste of time to get hung up on them. Be solution-oriented, stay present, and move forward.   • Change Your Mindset to Reach Your Goals (Template Included).

    Learn how to finally accomplish your goals by using my template guide. I'm going to assume that you clicked on this article because you probably didn't achieve the goals you set out for. You might want to improve your relationships, start a business, or just seek personal fulfillment. Yet, you quit before you gave it an honest shot. Why do we do this? Why we fail to reach our goals. I'm going to tell you the reason you have a hard time reaching your goals. It is because you haven't lifted that mental wall blocking you from knowing the power you possess. Every single one of us has that power inside. Somewhere down the line, you developed a negative self-image and from that, a wall was built blocking you from your own power. That wall is fortified by negative self-talk, insecurity, fear, etc. These are just beliefs or a mindset that can be changed. You start changing these beliefs by changing your mindset. . Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines practiced every day. ― Jim Rohn How do we change our mindset? Changing your mindset is a process that requires time and intentional action. I know just about now that negative little voice is convincing you to quit but at the very least just keep reading and think about some of the things that I share with you today. Start with thinking about a long-term goal of yours, then break that down to short-term goals, and break it down even further to daily actions. Apply these daily actions every day and over time you will see that you are accomplishing your short-term goals. Once you accomplish short-term goals, that is when the process of rewiring or changing your mindset is taking place and you will then have what is required to reach your long-term goals.   • How To Change Your Mindset For Success

    The process to change your mindset. Have you ever wondered how certain people get up early every day to exercise or how someone started a business from the ground up? I'll tell you how. It is the power of their mindset. But adopting a winning mindset is a process that comes slowly and takes dedication. #1 - Write down your goals. Start by writing down your goals. What is the life you’re envisioning or an achievement you want to accomplish? It could be to start a business, buy a house or just live a healthier life. Whatever it is think of how much you want it and write it down. #2 - Analyze your goals Break down your goals to the smallest details. What are the short-term goals that make up your long-term goals? What are the daily habits that make up your short-term goals? List daily actions that will get you closer to your short-term goals. For Example, I want to be a boss babe. (This might be silly but remember goals are personal) The short-term goal associated with becoming a boss babe is to invest more effort into me. How do I accomplish that short-term goal? Well, I should implement a beauty routine, and stress management techniques, and start doing things I enjoy, etc. Even more specifically, what are the daily habits I need to invest more effort into myself? I listed daily habits such as “getting enough sleep, making time to do hair, developing a skincare routine, meditating, reading educational material, and so on. "If you want something you've never had you have to be willing to do something you've never done." – Thomas Jefferson #3 - Make daily reminders The key to changing your mindset is setting daily reminders of your goals. A lot of the time we wake up ready to accomplish our goals and by the afternoon we forget to implement the daily habits it takes to get there. DO NOT lose focus. So yes, set that alarm on your phone or make notes around your house or both! #4 - Take it one day at a time. It is an intimidating and exhausting feeling looking at the long road ahead of you and thinking about all the changes needed to accomplish your goals. Stay present and focused every day. Just like that time will fly by and the process of rewiring your mindset will take place. You can do this! This is from my personal experience and what worked for me.   • 3 Most Effective Shifting Methods and How to Do Them.

    What is shifting? First of all, we should know what shifting actually means. According to all knowing Wikipedia "reality shifting is a term that refers to the spiritual practice of transferring or shifting from one's current reality (CR) to one desired reality (DR) with the use of techniques like meditation, affirmations, visualization, and self-hypnosis." What you should know. It might take a few tries to perfect. Go into shifting with excited attitude and don't be disappointed if it didn't work for you the first time. Keep trying and you'll get it! 3 Most Effective Shifting Methods THE JULIA METHOD. USE MUSIC TO SHIFT REALITIES - play meditation or focus music. Whatever makes you feel relaxed and closer to your DR. Then meditate for about 10 minutes. repeat an affirmation that aligns with your DR. Keep repeating until you feel a sense of lightness. before opening your eyes visualize you are in your DR. THE INTENT METHOD- before you go to bed think about where, why and how you want to shift. Now out loud and as specific as possible state your intentions. (i.e., I am going to be a successful producer.) When you wake up you will be in your DR THE RAVEN METHOD- Lie in bed with your entire body relaxed. Breathing in and out count down from 100. Focus on your DR as you count. When you reach 1 visualize that you're entering your DR.

    About me and why I started the TRULY UPLIFT blog. Welcome to the TRULY UPLIFT blog! My name is Joanna Santillano, and I am truly excited you are here! Years ago, I felt stuck in life. I fell into the role of tired stay-at-home mom who lost her sense of self. When I thought of my 'old self' I remembered a self-assured, creative, curious, passionate individual. Why did that fire in me go out? I'll tell you why. I stopped taking care of myself. I was on auto pilot. I wanted my daughter to know that it is important to never let that fire go out. To run towards opportunity and try new things. Slowly I decided to look for those fiery pieces of myself that I know were still there by nurturing those little flames. That is the very reason I started the TRULY UPLIFT blog. Since I could remember, I have always wanted to start a blog, but I didn't have my why and I didn't have much to say. Now I can confidently say that my why is crystal clear. I am passionate about sharing ways to get out of that autopilot slump. Maybe you're a stay-at-home mom like me, a father, or just a person who needs some ideas to try new things.
